Joining TakomaTime is free and there are no charges for services. Our primary costs are for potluck supplies, information flyers, hosting our website and our membership in TimeBanks USA that includes using the Community Weaver website. We cover these costs with donations from members.

We use PayPal to process our donations because it saves us the expense of a bank account, allows us to take credit cards, and is as secure as it can be. If you use a credit card, you do not have to have a PalPal account to make a donation. PayPal accepts 19 national currencies so you can pay in rupees, euros, or yen — anything you like (no Monopoly money, sorry).

Safety Precaution

A reminder to be cautious in working with people you don't know and to follow the same precautions as in any other situation. Many timebanks interview all new members and do background checks on anyone offering to work with children. As a new timebank, we do not have the resources for to implement security precautions and cannot assume responsibility for individual members or their actions.
